Growcoon for ornamentals
Growcoon is a unique cutting and seed plug holder which you can fill with your preferred substrate. The plug holder is made of 100% biodegradable material, and is designed to support and protect the root ball of your young plants in the early stages of their growth.
The unique net structure gives roots space to develop optimally and form a good root ball. When the Growcoon has done its job, it will degrade completely. Zero waste. On top of that, you choose your own substrate whether low-peat, peat-free, or even loose sand, Growcoon holds it all together.

A kick start for young roots
The Growcoon's clever conical shape creates an air buffer between the root ball and the wall of the tray cell. This gives plant roots more air and plenty of room to grow. The roots of the plant will therefore not stick to the tray, which minimizes root damage and a shock when transplanting.
Growcoon’s sealed base prevents direct contact with standing water, thereby protecting the roots from harmful external influences. It reduces the risk of disease and prevents root rot.

The Growcoon can be applied in organic cultivation in several countries. Due to the plug holder being made of biodegradable polymers, only water, CO2 and natural minerals will be left behind, once degraded fully. Zero waste.
Growcoon holds the European, French, Italian, Swiss and German FiBL certificate and has also been on the Dutch SKAL input list for years. In addition, the product has been awarded the TÜV OK biodegradable SOIL, TÜV OK compost HOME and/or INDUSTRIAL certificates (depending on the type).
